Craving to watch beautiful sunsets, one destination at a time…

Hi, I'm Emily!

Welcome to
Em Knows Places

I believe travel is a way to get to know one’s self. It plays a great role in our growth and helps us understand the world better. I have faced my share of setbacks in my travel plans but I have never regretted visiting a new destination or meet new people.

I have been traveling extensively throughout Europe in the last 4 years. I love and live for it. Currently, I live in Germany and have come to know the European culture up close. I am slowly learning to understand the local perspective. This helped me a lot in evolving with my travel plans and as a result, I learn something new every day.

It is a myth that traveling in Europe is always an expensive affair. Em Knows Places is a platform where I intend to encourage you to plan budget travel itineraries, with your independence.

My name is Emily and this blog is an honest recollection of easy and pocket-friendly travel stories of me traveling alone and with my husband. I am here to help you discover the easiest routes, the myths, the tips, the struggles, and the secrets of planning the perfect itinerary. To find out more about my adventures do follow my blog.

I have mixed feelings about turning 30. While I cherish the memories and experiences I have gathered during this time, I have also had my share of setbacks. It is exciting and depressing at the same time.

While I am still a child somewhere in my heart, turning 30 is a big deal and it is assumed that I am an adult now. Here are some of the travel experiences that I cherish the most from my 20s. It is going to be a great throwback 10 years from now.
